I was told by a good friend of mine how exceptional this Chinese restaurant is, and today we decided to check it out. The culinary experience was so over the top, I don't even know where to begin. IT.WAS.THAT.GREAT. It all started upon entering this smaller restaurant that has a peaceful ambiance, as we were cheerfully greeted by Jeanne, who knew we were arriving as our friend had called ahead. Snce we arrived a little early, and our friend was en route, we decided to try the scallion pancakes, with the Chengdu spicy dumplings and sesame bread which was enthusiastically recommended by Jeanne. The appetizers arrived and we all enjoyed them. The dumplings arrived in a spicy broth-like elixir that complemented the soft pillowy pockets of seasoned pork.The scallion pancakes were mediocre at best, but the sesame bread was amazing!! It had the perfect texture and savory flavor that was enjoyed by all. For our entrees, we ordered two dishes of the Stir Fried Shrimp with Yibin Chili and asparagus (extremely delicious), a spicy Clay Pot Fish, Beef and Napa Cabbage with spicy chili sauce (incredible spicy flavor!), Hot and Spicy Chicken (chunks of deep fried chicken, yum!!), Combination Frie

The food is delicious, I got the homemade preserved pork and they give you lots of pork slices AND lots of leeks too, it was not spicy but I wasn’t complaining. Just put some chili crisp on it but Im sure they would make it spicy if you asked. They serve lots of rice with meals by default which is not always the case for some places. My boo got the chicken with napa cabbage which was like a stir fry soup bowl with PLENTY of spicy broth, that was delicious as well. Not overly spicy. I will be going here for umami food for a while.

The food here is excellent. I have lived in Taiwan for quite a long time, so my feeling is based on that. People that say the atmosphere could be better? This is very authentic style for this kind of meal. If you ever get a chance to travel to Taiwan or China, you will know that this is normal. The boss is very nice and patient. We had mostly dishes off the menu, but the boss recommended a fish, and it was delicious. We also ordered stir fried cabbage for the kids, which was not on the menu. The menu seems to have a mix of western style dishes, but there are lots of authentic dishes on the menu as well. There was also a menu on the wall that was written in Chinese. If you want good Sichuan food, I would suggest trying mapo tofu, spicy chicken, kung pao chicken, Sichuan boiled fish. If you are adventurous, order my favorites, the black chinese mushrooms (酸辣木耳, and Chinese style tripe （牛肚). 謝謝老闆菜色美味真心推薦給所有人!

Having spent over a month in mainland China, I was able to try many different restaurants, from modest to fancy. The cuisine is generally not suited for vegetarians. Having said that, Little Sichuan in Plano is among the best. The food is ultra flavorful and the owner and staff always accommodate special requests. Been eating here with friends and family for over a decade. They will not disappoint!
